Paramount to these novel treatments is a sound nutritional and behavioral program with a personal approach. ## **Our strategy** **Dr. Starpoli is **triple board-certified in internal medicine, gastroenterology and obesity medicine**.  By integrating gastrointestinal endoscopy and obesity medicine, Dr. Starpoli employs incisionless, endoscopic approaches to weight loss including intragastric (stomach) balloons and endoscopic suturing. All of the procedures offered do not involve any form of surgery or cutting, they are performed through the mouth.** We are the first center in Manhattan to offer the Obalon balloon* that is simply swallowed and offer the Orbera balloon as well.  We anticipate the release of other devices that will aid in weight management. With endoscopic suturing using Apollo Overstitch, the procedures are performed through the mouth (transoral) and do not involve any cutting whatsoever. Endoscopic Sleeve Gastroplasty, known as ESG, mimics the sleeve gastrectomy, but without any incisions.  Endoscopic suturing is also used to revise compromised gastric bypass surgery.  Most procedures are performed on the same day and do not require a hospital stay.
